Can an Inguinal Hernia Belt Help While You Wait for Surgery?
Share
An inguinal hernia belt can provide temporary support while you wait for surgery. For one FlexaMed customer, that meant being able to stand longer.
He had a couple of months to go before his operation and was looking for support in the meantime. After trying the FlexaMed Inguinal Hernia Belt, he wrote, “I can tolerate standing longer with it on.” Read the customer review on FlexaMed
How does an inguinal hernia belt provide support?
The FlexaMed belt uses a foam pad to apply targeted pressure to the groin. The left and right versions each have one pad, and the double version has two. An adjustable strap lets you fine-tune the fit, and the low-profile belt can be worn under clothing.

If your healthcare provider recommends a belt, measure around your hips, below your waist, where the belt will sit. Compare your measurement with the product’s size chart. If you’re between sizes, send us your measurement and we can help you read the chart. See the FlexaMed Inguinal Hernia Belt and size chart
What should you ask your healthcare provider?
Tell your healthcare provider which part of your day is giving you trouble. Maybe it’s standing long enough to make dinner or getting through a shift on your feet. Those details can help guide the conversation. Ask whether a belt is appropriate for you, when to wear it, and which activities you can continue while you wait.
